The Exergen Temporal Scanner Review and Giveaway!

The cold and flu season is in full effect here in our home. Both of my kiddos have had colds, ear infections and fevers– and it’s only December. It is always a wonderful thing to find great products that make tending to a sick child easy and more comfortable for them. That is where the Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer comes in!

The Exergen Temporal Scanner is a must-have product for every household!  It was recently seen on the Today Show and on Grey’s Anatomy!  The Exergen Temporal Scanner is an infrared thermometer that captures temperature by scanning the heat that comes off the forehead (via the temporal artery).  This scanner is extremely useful and convenient because:

  • It is non-invasive, easy-to-use (only takes 2 seconds) and extremely accurate.
  • It will help parents avoid the painful experience of taking their sick child’s temperature rectally and uncomfortably.
  • It merely takes two seconds and a gentle swipe, so parents can even check a sleeping child’s temperature.

I personally have used the Exergen Temporal Scanner since my first child came home from the hospital. I love that is so easy to use and has an accurate reading as compared with other methods of obtaining a temperature reading. I loved being able to take my child’s temperature while they are sleeping and never waking them. The time it takes to sweep the scanner across the temporal artery is all the time it takes to know what the temperature reading is! The is a very durable product as well! Ours has been dropped, thrown into diaper bags and purses and handled by toddlers and is still in perfect condition! It does use a 9 volt battery, that is included. In 5 years I have only replaced the battery about 3 times. I have tried a handful of thermometers and other devices, but none have compared to the Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer.

Overall, I definitely recommend the Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer!  To me it’s a must-have especially for Moms of newborns and small children. Actually, my husband and I use it too!!

The Exergen Temporal Scanner thermometer retails for $49.99 and is available at many of your favorite retail locations including WalMart, Babies R Us, Costco, Walgreens and more. Currently, you can purchase this thermometer for $32.18 at WalMart.
